JOIN THE TEAM
DevHub is a cloud-based developer platform designed to streamline developers´ work at BASF, providing essential tools and resources to ensure customer satisfaction. From infrastructure to developer tooling and security, the platform offers a feature-rich DevOps / MLOps experience.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the infrastructure components. You will work closely with our senior developers to create high-quality, scalable, and responsive software solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Secure operation and support in end-to-end responsibility of our BASF DevHub Platform
- Develop, run, and automate CI/CD pipelines - Infrastructure as code.
- Monitoring of cloud PaaS and IaaS components - Availability, Performance, Security
- Incident/Change/Problem Management - Continual Service Improvement
- Identification of root cause and problem solution
- Ensure BASF compliance and security guidelines on our platform.
- Patch management of infrastructure
- Creation and implementation of Backup and Recovery concept
- Support and enable use cases on DevHub Platform
- Implementation of authorization requests
- Contribute to the improvement of internal development processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as Cloud System Engineer.
- Proven experience with both front-end and back-end technologies.
- Experience in software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams.
- Basic understanding of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and cloud deployment models (public, private, hybrid).
- Familiarity with Azure core services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, etc.
- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.) and experience with Azure networking resources like Virtual Networks, Subnets, Network Security Groups, and ExpressRoute.
- Basic understanding of security best practices in the cloud, including knowledge of Azure security tools such as Azure Security Center, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Firewall.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize accordingly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Familiarity with container technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
- Understanding of DevOps principles and tools.
